MPS Pinkalicious Blog Hop Challenge #2: Black + your favorite color(s)

I used black, pink and white on my card.  I made this card for my future Sister-in-Law.  She recently got some very good news.  In April 2010, she was told she had cervical cancer.  So, after a 9 month battle and lots of radiation and chemo her tests came back clean.  No more cancer!!  YAY!!  I hope she likes this card!  And I hope you like it, too!

Recipe:
The Paper Studio -the basics stack - pink polka dot paper

Create a Critter Cricut cart- postage stamp background cut at 5", cat cut at 3"
Lyrical Letter Cricut cart- Yippee cut at 1"

Cuttlebug - Swiss dot folder (it's hard to see in the photo but I used it on the black paper)

Creatology wiggle eyes.  Diamond Stickles on the bow.  Black bling.  Pop dots were added to the kitty for dimension.

Thanks for looking.  I love comments!

Have a great day!

IO Challenge: It's a Cupcake Kind of Day

This was a fun challenge.  Who doesn't love cupcakes, right?!  All you had to do was incorporate a cupcake and some Impression Obsession stamps.   Check out the Impression Obsession blog.

Recipe:
4 1/4 inch square card base in Kraft.
My Mind's Eye- Love Nest stack - brown and pink papers
Bazzill - green paper

IO clear stamp set Cupcakes by Leigh Hannan.  buy Impression Obsession stamps online here

Accent Essentials Cricut cart - scallop frame cut at 3 1/4", circle in pink at 1 1/4", circle in brown at 1 1/2", flower is accent 32 cut at 2" using the shadow feature.

White ink was used to stamp the sentiment.  I doodled around the flower with a brown Zig pen.  I colored the cupcake with colored pencils and added Diamond Stickles for glittery fun on the frosting and Glossy Accents to the cherry on top for shine.

I also used pop dots to add dimension to the frame and the cupcake.  Two kinds of ribbon from my stash and brown bling finish it off.

Thanks for looking!  I love comments!
I hope you have a 'Cupcake Kind of Day' today!!

CC Magazine: My Sweet Valentine Contest

The contest is to create something for your Valentine that involves candy.

CC Weekly Challenge #19: Whatevah! Challenge

For this challenge you need to use a shape -whatevah shape you'd like 3 times on your project and include some type of spray ink.

I had a written sketch/idea for this card before I started...but what I ended up with was a bit different.  It was a bit of a struggle but I think I captured what I was thinking and I really like how it came out.  So, it's all good, right?!!  LOL!  I'm sure we've all been there....

Recipe:
Card is 5" square.
Black background is 4 3/4" square that I sprayed with Tsukineko Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz.
Core'dinations- whitewash collection

Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cart- hearts @2" and 2 1/4"

Cuttlebug folders- in the Rough, Tiny Bubbles, and Tiny Mosaic Text

Sandylion - clear stamp sentiment from the Love set

Black organza ribbon.  I tied the bow and knotted the ends.

I embossed and sanded 2 of the hearts with a thick nail file.  The middle heart I turned over so it's technically debossed :-)  Love this paper!

Good luck everyone!  Thanks for stopping by.  I love comments!

Happy cutting.
