CCC - March - Christmas Flowers

Hello there!  It's time for the reminder post over on the Christmas Craft Creations blog.  Our theme this time is Christmas Flowers.  I decided to use a Tim Holtz mixed media die for this one.  I cut the die in both corners of my card front.  I then layered it over an inked background.  The final touch was to add some sequins to the middle of each flower.  So easy.   Love how it turned out.

Supplies:
Distress Ink - Worn Lipstick
Distress Oxide - Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick
Tim Holtz - Mixed Media Christmas - die
Tim Holtz - Tattered Christmas stamps - sentiment
Pretty Pink Posh - sequins

Thanks for stopping by today.  Come play along with us at CCC.

CCAYR - March - Starts with 'E' or 'F'

Hello there!  It's time for another wonderful challenge over on the Christmas Crafts All Year Round blog.  Our theme this month is 'Starts With 'E' or 'F'.

I decided to play with a Tim Holtz die set that I got recently.  Too much fun!  I used Speckled Egg Oxide and blended the background 2/3 rds.  Then I blended Hickory Smoke Oxide to make the ice rink at the bottom.  Next, I used a snowflake stencil and the same Speckled Egg Oxide to make the snow effect.  Very subtle.  I love it!  I then used Glossy Accents to form the ice rink border.  And I sprinkled it with Diamond Dust to give it a bit of sparkle and texture.  I used black foam to make the elf more dimensional.  Love him!

Supplies:
Tim Holtz - Thin Ice die set
white glitter paper
Distress Oxides - Speckled Egg, Hickory Smoke
Tim Holtz - mini stencil, snowflakes -set 50
Glossy Accents + Diamond Dust
3mm black foam
Tim Holtz - Holiday Drawings -sentiment stamp
