Cut It Up#71: Mist-y

Hello there!  Happy Friday!  It's time for another great challenge on the Cut It Up blog.  This time we are using mists.  And don't forget the die cut on your project :-)  Our sponsor this time is:  As Cute as a Button. 

I don't use mists very often.  I think I'm afraid of them...LOL!  They tend to be super blotchy and just generally a mess for me.  But, I figured out a way to use them that is super easy.  I mixed some white texture paste with a couple spritzes of the mist and used a stencil to add great texture, color, and pattern to my card background.  I found this super fun.  It does take a bit of time to dry...

Cut It Up #70: Paper Piecing

I'm such a huge Country music fan and I couldn't help but think of Miranda's song, Little Red Wagon as I worked on this card :-)  I love this cute, Little Miss Muffet digi image!!  I paper pieced the red and the turquoise parts of this image.  This is my second project doing paper piecing and I think I love this technique.  It does take a lot of patience and time but it's sooo worth it!
