Tweet! Tweet!

Hello!  It's What can My Mind Design Monday on the My Cricut Craft Room Blog today.  Our theme is something that flies.  I chose to use a cute little birdie from Nifty Fifties.   I made this card for a 7 year old birthday party my daughter went to.  I got lucky because the décor theme of the party was all about peace signs!  Cool, huh?!! or should I say groovy??---LOL!!

A little tip I picked up:  don't throw away those left overs from your pop dots.  Cut them down and use them on bigger things you want to pop up/add dimension to :-)

Recipe:
4" square card base in black
The Paper Studio - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun stack- all patterned papers

Nifty Fifties Cricut cart - bird @ 3 3/4"

Pop dots, Impression Obsession stamp set Sentiments I, corner rounder.

Happy Birthday!

Hello!  It's my Father-in-law's birthday and he's turning 75!  I wanted to do something fun and different!  So, I used a z-fold card base for my card.  I've never done a card like this before and I think it turned out pretty cool :-)  His surprise party is next weekend and there will be an ice cream bar to build your own.  He loves ice cream so that's what I went with, too!   I hope he likes it!
Recipe:

For the base of the card I started with a 11x 4 1/4" piece of white cardstock.  With the long side horizontal score at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2".  Accordin fold to make a z-fold card.  Yup, it's just that easy!  And the best part--once folded this will fit your standard A2 size envelope :-)

DCWV -Cafe Mediterranean Stack - all patterned papers

Robotz  Cricut cart-  '75' @2 1/2" (font feature)
Nifty Fifties Cricut cart - Ice cream @ 4", '&' and the arrow @ 1"

White pen for doodles, Glossy Accents on the ice cream, brown Zig pen for doodles on the cone, pop dots, sentiment is from the Fiskars stamp set Make a Wish Quotes...
