June Magazine Challenge: Teresa Collins Sponsor Contest

This was a fun challenge.  This was my excuse (wink, wink) to buy some Teresa Collins products and play!!  The challenge is to create a project with a celebration theme using 3 Teresa Collins products and 4 Cricut cuts.  I chose to make an anniversary card for my parents.  They have been happily married since 1967 :-)

Recipe:
Card base is 4 1/4" square

Teresa Collins -Timeless Collection - pink patterned paper
Teresa Collins - Timeless Collection - clock transparency
Teresa Collins - Timeless Collection - Die Cut sentiment tag

French Manor Cricut cart- background shape @ 4"
                                       -frame @ 3"
                                       -flourishes @ 3/4"
                                       -robin @ 1"

Oriental Trading Company- pink glittered brad, silver gelly roll pen for frame outlinig, pop dots to give the bird dimension.

This was the first time I had used a transparency on a project.  I anchored it with the brad and it created a window effect for the frame.  I discovered I could tuck the flourishes behind the corners of the die-cut tag...cool!   I've used French Manor on a few cards lately and I'm really starting to love it.  The background shape was a new find.  I love it when my eye spots a new, interesting shape on a cart :-)

Thanks for looking!  Good luck to all!!

Cricut 360: Challenge #2

This was a fun challenge.  It requires a circle shaped card and a Thank You type sentiment.  I was inspired by a scrapbook technique I saw on the Two Peas website.  It was a cute way to use up extra bits of ribbon.  So, I applied that idea to my card today.  Hope you likey :-)

Recipe:
The Paper Studio - The Basics Stack - red and red dot papers

Birthday Bash Cricut cart - Scallop circle card base @4";  circles @3 3/4", 3 1/2

Cuttlebug embossing folder- Seeing spots (it's hard to see--but I used it on the white card base)

Scraps of ribbon, pop dots, sliver bling.

Thanks for looking.  Good luck to all in the challenge!  Looking forward to the next one :-)

CC July: Let's Eat & Cricut 360 Challenge #1: Invitation

I chose to do a BBQ invitation.  We are currently having a flagstone patio and cover put in.  I can't wait until it's finished and I can throw a BBQ.  Hopefully soon I'll be using this invite :-)

CC requires 2 Cricut cuts and gingham or check print in our project.  While the Cricut 360 just called for an invitation of some kind.  Here's what I came up with.  I'm using a cart I got at the TX Stampede and it's the first time I've played with it!

Recipe:
Base is Kraft 6x4 3/4"
The Paper Studio- the Basics Stack - red gingham paper
DCWV - Stack 7 - journal paper
DCWV - Metallic matstack- barbed wire frame

Old West Cricut cart - base shape- Icon @6", flourish barbed wire frame border @5" (I also cut the corners again to layer on top for dimension), "BBQ" letters @ 3/4" (I cut these 3 times using Kraft paper and glued them together for a thicker letter)

Friskers Wedding stamp set, brown ink for edges, brown Zig pen for doodles, pop dots for dimension.

Thanks for looking!  Good luck to all in both challenges!
