Hello there!  I'm so excited to now be part of the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge design team.  This is my first sketch DT--YAY!!   I love to use sketches to create cards.  A new challenge starts every Monday but we have two teams so I'll be posting every other week.

Cut It Up # 87: New Beginnings - Decorate a paper bag

Hello there!  We are back on the Cut It Up blog after our short Christmas break.  Our new theme is:  New Beginnings - Decorate a Paper Bag.  Our wonderful sponsor is  As Cute as a Button.

I decided to create a paper bag mini album.  I got the idea from Maymay Made It Crafts.  This is still a work-in-progress.  I got the basic mini book, the mats for each page, and the tags with tabs that go into each pocket (open end of the bag), and the cover done so far.  I'll post a follow up post soon with all the pages and pictures done.  My daughter decided to switch from soccer to softball this past fall so that is what my new beginning is all about.

Recipe:
Red Celebrate It paper bags (Michael's) I used 5 but you could use more. 
Recollections single sheets - red /white dot, red wave, red stripe
The Paper Studio single sheets - black chevron, black stripes
From My Kitchen Cricut cart - tabs @ 2 1/2"
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cart - circle @ 3/4" (on the tabs sticking out on the side)  These are attached to cards that you can put pictures on and hid in the pockets.

CIU#79: Sports

Hello there!  It's time for another fun challenge over on the Cut It Up blog.  Our theme this time is Sports.  And make sure you add a die-cut to your project.  Our wonderful sponsor is Newton's Nook.

Both my kiddos are back-to-school and back to sports, too.  My son is playing tackle football this year.  Yikes!  So, I decorated his water bottle with vinyl.

Recipe:
Oracal 651 vinyl in white
Father's Day Cricut cart
Cricut Font & Basic Shapes
Clear Contact paper

I welded and sized the images in CCR.

I used a deep cut blade @3, with the pressure at med.  Clear Contact paper works great (and costs way less) than transfer tape. 

I've hand washed this at least half a dozen times already and it still looks great :-)

Father's Day card

Hello!  I have a Father's day card to share today.  I recently picked up the seasonal Father's Day Cricut cart on clearance at JoAnn's.  Yay!  Just in time!  This one was sent to my Father-in-law. 

Recipe:
Cardbase in Kraft.  Finished card is 3 1/2 x 8"
DCWV Stack 5 - patterned paper

Father's Day Cricut cart - motorcycle @ 3"
CB folder- from the Retro Kitchen set

IO stamp from the Mini Messages set, brads from Oriental Trading Co, pop dots, Sew Easy floss in cream soda.  I cut the grey by hand and applied it to the back of the cut.  I also cut the blue seat by hand.
